Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal data Aknurwars Academy collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can use your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Who we are
Aknurwars Academy ("we", "us") runs this website and decides how the personal data described in this notice is used. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act), we are the Data Fiduciary for this data.
Address: Aknurwar House, Ward No 17, Tadala Road, Mul, Dist. Chandrapur, Maharashtra 441224 Email: info@aknurwarsacademy.com Phone: +91 8412009002
2. What we collect and why
We only ask for the details we need for the purpose shown on each form, and we use them only for that purpose.
Contact form: your name, email, phone number (optional), topic, and message, to answer your enquiry.
Enrollment, course content, and demo requests: your name, email, phone number, the program or product you are interested in, and any message, to send what you asked for, answer your questions, and help you enrol.
School coaching enquiries: the parent or guardian's name, email, and phone number, their relationship to the student, and the student's name and class, to arrange coaching or a demo class. A parent or guardian submits these, not the student.
Tutor applications: your name, email, phone number, subject area, experience, and what you tell us about yourself, to assess your application.
Hiring requests: your company name, your name, email, phone number, and hiring needs, to respond to your request.
Privacy requests: your name, email, phone number (optional), and request details, to confirm it is you and act on the request.
Candidate profiles on our Hire From Us page are published only with the candidate's written consent.
3. Names, photos, and stories we publish
Our website shows some students, alumni, staff, and candidates by name, with photos, quotes, stories, and results such as a new role or salary hike. We publish these only with the written permission of the person concerned, and we record when it was given.
If you appear on our website and want something changed or removed, use our privacy request form at https://www.aknurwarsacademy.com/privacy/request or email info@aknurwarsacademy.com, and we will take it down promptly.
4. Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, our hosting provider records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to deliver the website and keep it secure. To limit spam and abuse, we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for a short time, never the address itself.
We do not set cookies for visitors. The only cookies are for staff who sign in to our admin portal. If website analytics are switched on, we use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without building a profile of you. Analytics are always off on our school coaching pages.
The map on our Contact page loads from Google only if you choose to show it, because loading it shares your IP address with Google.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your personal data.
5. Your consent and how to withdraw it
We use the details you submit on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the form. We record when you consented, for what purpose, on which page, and which version of this notice you saw.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it: every acknowledgement email we send has a one-step link to withdraw, or you can use our privacy request form at https://www.aknurwarsacademy.com/privacy/request or email info@aknurwarsacademy.com. We then stop using your details and delete them, unless a law requires us to keep them. Withdrawing does not affect anything we did before you withdrew, but we will no longer be able to respond to that enquiry or application.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers (Data Processors) who help us run the website and who may use it only on our instructions:
Render, which hosts our database on servers in the United States. Our website hosting provider, which runs the website. Microsoft 365, which sends our emails and delivers a copy of each submission to our team's mailbox so we can respond. Cloudflare R2, which stores images and files we upload, such as team photos and course brochures. Vercel Web Analytics, if analytics are switched on. Google Maps, only if you choose to show the map on our Contact page. WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to message us there; your chat is then also covered by WhatsApp's privacy policy.
Some of these providers store or process data outside India. For example, our database is stored in the United States. The DPDP Act allows this, except to countries the Government of India restricts, and we use only providers that protect the data.
We may also disclose personal data when the law requires it, for example to a court or a government authority.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry, application, and hiring request details for up to 1 year after you submit them, and then delete them. The copies in our team's mailbox are deleted on the same schedule.
If you withdraw consent or ask us to erase your data, we delete it within 7 days, unless a law requires us to keep it. Unconfirmed privacy requests are deleted after 7 days. We keep records of completed privacy requests, and logs of who accessed personal data in our systems, for one year, and then delete them.
8. Children's personal data
Our school coaching programs are for students in classes 5 to 12, many of whom are under 18. Under the DPDP Act, we need consent from a parent or lawful guardian before we use a child's personal data.
That is why school coaching enquiries must be made by a parent or guardian, who confirms their relationship to the student and gives consent for them. Before we enrol a student or share details about a class, our team checks that the person who enquired is the student's parent or lawful guardian and an adult, for example on a call or at our centre, and records how this was checked. If you are under 18, please ask your parent or guardian to contact us for you.
We do not track or monitor the behaviour of children, and we do not show them targeted advertising. If we learn that we received a child's details without a parent's or guardian's consent, we will delete them.
9. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it. Ask us to correct, complete, or update your personal data. Ask us to erase your personal data. Withdraw your consent. Nominate someone to use these rights for you if you die or become unable to do so. Have your grievances about how we handle your data addressed.
To use any of these rights, submit a request at https://www.aknurwarsacademy.com/privacy/request, using the email address you gave us so we can find your records. We will email you a link to confirm the request, so we know it came from you. We respond as soon as we can, and within 90 days at the most.
10. How we protect your data
All pages are served over HTTPS. Only authorised staff can see submissions, and access to personal data is limited to senior administrators. Staff accounts use strong passwords, sign-in attempts are limited, and we keep a log of who viewed, exported, changed, or deleted personal data.
If a personal data breach happens, we will inform the Data Protection Board of India and the people affected, as the DPDP Act requires, and tell you what we are doing about it.
11. Grievance Officer
For any question or complaint about how we handle your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer:
Grievance Officer, Aknurwars Academy Email: info@aknurwarsacademy.com Phone: +91 8412009002 Address: Aknurwar House, Ward No 17, Tadala Road, Mul, Dist. Chandrapur, Maharashtra 441224
You can also raise a grievance through our privacy request form at https://www.aknurwarsacademy.com/privacy/request.
12. Complaints to the Data Protection Board
If you are not satisfied with how we resolve your grievance, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India. The DPDP Act asks you to use our grievance process first, so please contact our Grievance Officer before approaching the Board.
13. This notice in other languages
You can ask for this notice in English or in any language listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India. Email info@aknurwarsacademy.com and tell us which language you need.
14. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our practices or the law change. The version and date at the top of this page show when it last changed, and each consent we record notes the version you saw. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
